The Joshua Chamberlain Society (JCS) adopts wounded veterans and the families of deceased veterans and commits to providing support for the long term. JCS helps severely wounded veterans, like Army Sgt. Nathan Shumaker, live full, vibrant lives despite their injuries, and makes sure the families of the fallen are provided with support and security for the future.
Greater St. Louis Honor Flight’s mission is to safely transport America’s most senior military veterans to Washington, D.C. to experience the memorials built in their honor.
2022 will mark a milestone for Greater St. Louis Honor Flight – their 100th mission. Join us in celebrating America’s veterans by donating so they can share in this special Day of Honor.
The USO strengthens America’s current military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.
The vision of Heroes Outreach is a country free of military veteran and first responder suicide. Recognizing isolation and loss of camaraderie as factors contributing to the tragedy of twenty-two military veterans dying by suicide each day, the Heroes Outreach Program (HOPe) establishes local outreach gatherings in communities to provide awareness, education, and prevention resources.
Dogs for Our Brave's mission is to provide professionally trained service dogs at no cost to veterans who have suffered debilitating injury or illness while in service to our country. The goal is to use rescue dogs at every opportunity, thus saving two lives at once. In order to fully realize their mission without adding financial burden, they also provide a continuum of free support that covers all food, veterinary care, and pharmaceuticals for the life of the dog.
