Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought)
  • 4-5 ripe apricots, halved and pitted
  • ¼ cup apricot preserves or jam
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Directions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases. Transfer it onto the prepared baking sheet.

Spread Jam: Spread the apricot preserves or jam evenly over the puff pastry sheet, leaving a small border around the edges.

Arrange Apricots: Arrange the halved apricots on top of the jam in a decorative pattern. Press them slightly into the pastry.

Sprinkle Almonds: Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the apricots.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.
