Chesterfield, MO – July 7, 2025 – In response to the recent devastating tornadoes that impacted the St. Louis community, Dierbergs, its partners, and generous customers united to donate over $80,000 in relief aid, essential supplies, and meals to help local families recover and rebuild their lives.

"Supporting the communities where we live and work is at the heart of our company," said Laura Dierberg Padousis, Executive Vice President of Dierbergs Markets. "As a local grocer, we have the ability to mobilize quickly to help our community heal and rebuild."

Thanks to the incredible generosity of customers and strong partnerships with local businesses and trusted national vendors, Dierbergs’ donations reached several vital local organizations, including the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the American Red Cross of Missouri, the Salvation Army Greater St. Louis Metropolitan, and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. From meals and supplies to direct donations and matching funds, the support provided critical relief to first responders, families, and neighborhoods hardest hit by the storms.

Initiatives included special fundraising partnerships with Katie’s Pizza and Pasta, 4 Hands Brewing Co., and Bell & Evans, along with product donations to the St. Louis Area Foodbank, Greater St. Louis, Inc. and St. Louis First Responder Canteen. In addition, Dierbergs worked with vendor partners like UNFI, Quest Nutrition, Johnsonville, Smithfield, P&G, MadeGood, Clorox, Lysol, and Kimberly-Clark to deliver much-needed food, cleaning supplies, and water. Dierbergs’ round-up campaign alone raised nearly $40,000 for the United Way, demonstrating the community’s overwhelming generosity and compassion.
