A wise man once said, “There’s nothing better than really awesome wine.”

Ok, it was us; we said that. It’s a philosophy our Party Center managers live by. A code built on knowledge spanning wine pairings, grape seasonality, sommelier ratings and personal preference.

But mostly, it’s a mindset focused on sharing really awesome wine with you, our customer. Because, honestly, what’s better than that?

Dierbergs Wine Picks & Pairings

Each month, we receive dozens of sample wines and recommendations. We narrow our selections, then we try them again. Once we find a wine that meets our standards for price, taste and appeal, it earns the honor of our monthly picks.

We invite you to try them all! Especially with our pairings curated especially for these wines by Chef Christie Maggi.

Prices good May 1-31, 2021.

Bob's Pick: Toasted Head Chardonnay

Tasting Notes

"The nose offers ripe pineapple and peach aromas with toasted graham cracker. The bright straw color prepares the palate for the rich tropical fruit and luscious stone fruit with a viscous mouth feel accented by toasted coconut, vanilla and butterscotch. The creamy finish lingers with hints of buttered toast and lemon zest. This wine will pair well with creamy Italian pasta dishes, roasted chicken or fish, and fresh summer corn."

Greg's Pick: Broadside Merlot

Rated 93 by Wine Enthusiast

"Intense aromas of baked black cherry, red berries, star anise and mace are deliciously fruit-forward on the nose of this bottling. The wine lands with a ripe quality on the palate, offering that rich and dark-cherry and mulberry character, but also presenting white pepper and minty tarragon."

Laura's Pick: Tribute Chardonnay 2018

Rated 93 by Tasting Panel

"Creamy & lush – notes of ripe pear, gala apple, vanilla, & creme brulee. Light gold color. Fruity, buttery aromas of green apple, banana nectar, buttery pastry, and bruleed lime with a supple, crisp, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-length pineapple preserves and hints of coconut finish with moderate oak flavor. A balanced and fruity Chardonnay that will play well as a sipper and at the table."
