5 Lunches Under $10

Meal prepping can be tough. Lunch boxes are a hassle. Diets are hard to stick to. Eating out every lunch isn’t ideal.

So what are we supposed to do with so little time?

We tried a Dierbergs lunch option every day for one week and found a delicious meal each day for UNDER $10. Check out what we found!

MONDAY
Fresh & Fit General Tso Grilled Chicken and Sparkling Ice Water

When we walked up to the Fresh & Fit section of the deli, we noticed a sign for $1 off that day! So instead of the $7.99 for the meal prep, it was $6.99! (The sale gods were with us!) The Fresh & Fit meals are perfectly portioned for anyone focusing on clean eating and meal prep-style food. With more than 5 different meals, you can choose from options including Southwest Chicken and Teriyaki-Style Salmon! We paired our meal with a 0 calorie, 0 sugar Sparkling Ice Water for only $1!

TUESDAY
Soup & Salad Bar and Icelandic Water

The Salad Bar was such a fun experience with TONS of options. Buffalo chicken, grilled chicken, pasta salads, fruits, veggies... You name it? It’s there! Pricing for salad is $7.49lb while soup is $4.99lb. After topping an arugula and red leaf salad with different veggies for about $5 and grabbing the popular vegetable beef soup for about $3, we then found a fun water AGAIN for $1!

WEDNESDAY
Sushi and Arizona Green Tea

Bento Sushi from Dierbergs is a hidden gem. If you can’t find what you are looking for, the Associate behind the Sushi counter can make you a FRESH roll right there! We snagged a California-style roll with avocado for only $7.49! You have the choice between brown rice and white rice for your sushi (if you have a preference). The Arizona Green Tea was on sale for 59¢. Crazy, right!?

THURSDAY
Chipotle Chicken Pepper Jack Sandwich, Billy Goat Chips and Steaz Tea

This was a combo meal done right. Right there next to the Salad Bar was a wall of different types of sandwiches. We went with the Chipotle sandwich (so delicious and only $4.99) and paired with the local Billy Goat Chips for only $1! You know what else was only $1? The Steaz Half-and-Half Green Tea Lemonade. Drinks for $1 or less 4 days in a row?!

FRIDAY
Bob’s BBQ Smoked Salmon Meal Deal and Mountain Water

Because we saved some money this week, we decided to splurge a little on our drink this day. We went with the Mountain Valley Water for $1.50! Then we ventured over to the hot case in the Deli to explore our options. We decided on the smoked salmon (with lent coming up, it was great practice). It came with 2 HUGE sides and a bread roll. TGIF!

We successfully did lunch EACH day for under $10! It wasn’t hard, and there were so many more options we could have explored! By checking Digital Coupons and the Weekly Ad sales on our My Dierbergs App, we found it a lot easier to spot the deals! We hope this was helpful in showing you variety, quality and the simplicity of finding a great lunch deal.
