St. Louis, July 23, 2007 – In response to a voluntary recall by Castleberry, Dierbergs Markets has pulled Steak n Shake Chili (canned) from its shelves. The recall is part of an FDA, USDA and Centers for Disease Control investigation into the contamination of products with bacteria that can cause botulism, a life-threatening illness.
The product Dierbergs carried and has been pulled carried the UPC code 8-51844-00120.
Dierbergs customers can return this product to any Dierbergs store for a full refund.
