St. Louis, April 7, 2008 – In response to a nationwide recall by the Malt-O-Meal Co., Dierbergs Markets has pulled Unsweetened Puffed Rice Cereal and Unsweetened Puffed Wheat Cereal from its shelves. The recall is due to a possible Salmonella contamination. While no illnesses have been linked to the product to date, Salmonella was found in a product during a routine food safety test.
The recall involves all packages of the cereal brands with the "Best Used By" dates between APR0808 and MAR1809 and the following UPC codes:

Dierbergs customers can return this product to any Dierbergs store for a full refund.
