St. Louis, September 5, 2008 -- Regarding the recent recall of Girard's Honey Dijon Peppercorn Salad Dressing, Dierbergs Markets has confirmed that the none of the product with the code named in the recall was shipped to its stores.
A specific lot of the product has been recalled because the bottles may have the incorrect back label of Girard's French Dressing. The Honey Dijon Peppercorn contains eggs, which is not declared as an ingredient on the French label. People who have allergies to egg run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The affected product are 12 fl. oz. bottles labeled with "Girard's Honey Dijon Peppercorn" on the front and may be labeled with "Girard's French Dressing" (item 58015) on the back. The product will have a date code of Best By 06-11-09M.
