The recipe collection is another example of Dierbergs' commitment to better cooking. The company's cooking schools are recognized and acclaimed by food professionals across the country.
The cookbook is a beauty, lavishly illustrated with full-color photographs, featuring stylish plates of good things to eat. The book is especially user-friendly, with marginal notes that explain and simplify, making it well suited for both the novice and the experienced home chef.

What a beautiful cookbook! Perfect for people who may be a little short on time, but who love to cook delicious meals and entertain. Now I know what I'll be getting all those great cooks on my [gift] list. I really appreciate all the nutritional information that comes with each recipe, too. And wow, what mouth-watering photos!

The folks at Dierbergs have recently branched out from beautifully prepared foods to a beautifully prepared cookbook. . .The cookbook is well laid out and accessible, with its most handy feature being the alluring photographs that accompany almost every recipe. But make no mistake; this is not just a coffee table "look book." The photos portray dishes that look like they actually came out of a home kitchen. . .Each recipe also comes with an interesting tip on the ingredients, techniques or cuisine. . . The section "Kids in the Kitchen" contains over a dozen kid-approved recipes. Thankfully, these are real recipes that will get kids involved in the cooking process and not just cutesy decorations. . . Pick up a copy of The Best of Dierbergs, and you'll be bound to come up with a winner or two.

The book is great and practical, too! Easy to read and follow. The recipes cover just about everything – a ton of choices for everyday and special-event cooking.

The recipes are fresh, straightforward and appealing. This is food that [people] will want to cook. The food photography is of unusually high quality. . .It's well composed, well-styled and unfussy, with attention paid to and clearly focused on what's most important: THE FOOD! The book's overall tone is friendly and reassuring, an asset in any cookbook.

What a first-class job! I was impressed with both the photos and Dierbergs' ability to adapt menus for the home cook. . . It is written for the home cook with easy-to-find ingredients and methods. For the chef, it gives an insight into the foods and familiarity of ingredients for the area that he might plan on satisfying. Job well done!
