Responsibilities: 
* Preparing store-made foods including, but not limited to, fried chicken, baked chicken, rotisserie meats, seafood and a variety of other entrees, appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts
* Training other Associates in all aspects of the kitchen including cooking, proper operation of equipment, food handling, sanitation and cleaning
* Performing any duties of a Delicatessen Clerk or Deli/Seafood Clerk in a combo department when requested

Qualifications:
* Must possess 3+ years cooking experience in a high volume foodservice/restaurant kitchen and has the desire and passion to work with food
* Strong cooking/culinary knowledge required. Culinary degree or cooking classes preferred, but not required
* Ability to train Associates working in the Deli/Kitchen to prepare store made recipes. Monitor all food products to insure they are done according to the specifications to insure quality, consistency and portion control
* Willing to complete training programs as requested which include, but are not limited to, cooking/culinary classes, self-development, the CDC process, train the trainer and vendor workshops
* Strong communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills. Ability to plan production needs and complete production forms/reports as required. Ability to read recipes/specs, calculate percentages and convert recipes to appropriate batch sizes
* Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation. Will be required to take and pass the state sanitation certification course: Serv Safe
* Must be flexible to work a varied work schedule, including nights and weekends
* Must be at least 18 years of age
