A twist on the classic mojito cocktail turns this into a delicious summer drink! And it's naturally gluten-free.
Ingredients
1 container (16 ounces) strawberries, coarsely chopped
3 cups water
1 cup Dierbergs sugar
1 cup fresh mint leaves
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup Dierbergs light rum
Fresh mint sprigs
Lime slices
Directions
In medium saucepan, combine strawberries, water, and sugar; bring to a boil stirring occasionally over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; gently stir in the 1 cup mint leaves. Cool completely. Strain pressing on berries to extract syrup; discard solids. Stir limeade concentrate and rum into syrup mixture until well mixed. Pour into freezer container; freeze overnight. To serve, spoon slush into wine glasses. Garnish each glass with mint sprig and lime slice.
