There are so many way to enjoy this buttery rich sauce that's so easy to make and naturally gluten-free!1/2 cup Dierbergs butter, cut into pieces and softened
1 cup firmly packed Dierbergs brown sugar
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch salt
1 to 2 tablespoons Dierbergs rum (optional) In medium saucepan, mash together butter and brown sugar with large spoon over low heat until mixture comes together (mixture may appear grainy). Gradually stir in half-and-half until mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla and salt. If desired, remove from heat and stir in rum. Store in refrigerator.
