Sherri knows great tasting food and good nutrition can go hand in hand, and as an instructor for Dining with Diabetes and Eat Hearty cooking classes at Dierbergs School of Cooking, Sherri is helping her students experience the yummy side of healthy for themselves.

After getting involved with Dierbergs through their Eat Hearty partnership with Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Sherri has used her background as a dietitian and her interest in cooking to help teach that good can be both healthy and absolutely delicious. She hopes her students come away from classes, not only with tasty recipes, but with the knowledge that all foods can fit into a healthy eating plan. Sherri’s philosophy is that healthy eating begins with a few simple lifestyle changes, and she provides recipes and tips in her classes that make these changes possible for her students to achieve.

Outside of the Dierbergs/Missouri Baptist partnership, Sherri runs a lot of community health programs, like teaching firefighters healthy cooking tips. When she isn’t working, Sherri loves to go on walks and spend time outdoors. She enjoys entertaining, never passes up the chance to read a good food magazine, and secretly wishes she could be a decorator in her spare time.
