Rosalie Fiorino Harpole
Rosalie Fiorino-Harpole Important Ingredients:
-Author of Rosalie Serving Italian and Rosalie Serving Country
-Third daughter of Italian immigrants and one hundred percent Italian

Rosalie is keeping her family’s Italian traditions alive through the delicious dishes in her cookbook and in her Dierbergs classes. Cooking since the age of eight, Rosalie watched her mother constantly create new Italian dishes to entertain friends and family. It wasn’t long before she was entertaining on her own.

Marrying a minister meant that Rosalie entertained guests from all over the world, and she used her family’s Italian recipes to keep their taste buds satisfied. She also catered Italian food, cooked benefit dinners for her church, and taught cooking classes at her community’s school.

Rosalie’s inspiration for her cookbook did not come from any of these, however. She was supervising meals at a county fair when someone asked if she would write her recipes down. Rosalie started writing her first cookbook soon after, and is finishing her second book, called Rosalie Serving Country.

Rosalie is a speaker on the topic of family values. She hopes her cookbook and cooking classes demonstrate that food is the bridge to relationships. When she’s not writing cookbooks, Rosalie works as a registered nurse at the Lincoln County Medical Center and enjoys spending time with her family. She has also traveled with her book to do TV shows, radio interviews, and book signings and writes a weekly blog about her favorite foods.

Rosalie’s Cooking Tip: “Making a recipe without family is just a meal, but making a recipe with family becomes a memory.”
