After working at Anheuser-Busch for over 30 years, one could say Mike Amad knows a little something about beer. Working in many direct production positions in several of Anheuser-Busch’s breweries, Mike developed a strong understanding of the brewing industry. He served as a member of the taste panel throughout his entire career and assisted in developing the Budweiser Mobile Beer School, the On-Premise Marketing Initiative, and the Anheuser-Busch comprehensive culinary program. Towards the end of his career at A-B, he also served as the manager of brewing education and created training courses for consumers, retailers, and wholesalers.
Mike moved on from Anheuser-Busch in 2009 but was not quite ready to give up his passion for brewing just yet. Since then, he has stayed involved with Anheuser-Busch, Boston Beer Company, the Master Brewers Association of the Americas’ “Beer Steward Program”, and with local beer wholesalers and retailers, by working as a freelance Brewmaster consultant and educator. Mike is known for his fun and engaging style of teaching and for his ability to use all of the senses to capture his audience’s attention.
