Hands-on learning and cooking seem to go hand-in-hand, which is exactly why Chef A.J. Brown loves it!
Food has been an avenue that allows Chef A.J. to get his hands dirty and create things people enjoy. After graduating from Benedictine University and studying in France for a summer, Chef A.J. opened his own artisan bread business called KNEAD. Although he has the most experience with bread, he doesn’t think of it as his specialty. Instead, he prides himself in being a continual learner and enjoys learning about as many foods as possible!
Chef A.J. hopes that people learn that anyone can cook as long as they’re willing to learn and have fun along the way.
Chef A.J.’s Cooking Tip: “Food is so much more than just a meal. Its art, history, culture, tradition and passion created by someone at sometime who really cared about making something special and unique. Once you understand that, then anyone can cook and begin to make great dishes.”
