Cathy McGeorge has always enjoyed feeding people and she provides anyone who comes to Loganberry Inn with a delicious breakfast and a few laughs. She grew up loving to cook, and as the oldest child, routinely made meals for the eight members of her family. She taught cooking classes right out of college but left the business to work at Proctor and Gamble.
Cathy had always wanted to own a bed and breakfast, however, and upon leaving the corporate world, she began to pursue her dream. She decided Fulton, Missouri, was the ideal location and loved its charm. She even found the perfect Victorian house within walking distance of downtown.
Soon Cathy opened Loganberry Inn and has served breakfast with a smile to her guests ever since. She has even hosted famous names like Margaret Thatcher. Barb Ridenhour, Director of Consumer Services for Dierbergs, visited and was so impressed that she asked Cathy to join the School of Cooking as an instructor right then and there. Cathy has always had cooking and entertaining in her blood, and through the Loganberry Inn and teaching cooking classes, she gets to share her passion on a daily basis.
Cathy’s Cooking Tip: “Don’t stress out and chain yourself to a recipe. Use fewer ingredients and the simpler the better!”
