Carol Ziemann
Carol Ziemann Important Ingredients:
-Dierbergs School of Cooking Instructor since 1978
-Food stylist for Dierbergs and commercial photographers
-Test Kitchen Home Economist for Better Homes and Gardens and Pillsbury

Carol found her love for food as a 4-H member doing cooking demonstrations at the Minnesota State Fair, and hasn’t stopped working in the food industry since then.

Carol grew up on her family’s Minnesota farm and went to the University of Minnesota to study Foods in Business. She started working in the test kitchen for Better Homes and Gardens after graduation and then worked in product development and promotions for Pillsbury for several years.

Carol was recruited by Dierbergs School of Cooking while teaching classes at Pampered Pantry. She now teaches A Country Inn Christmas during the holiday season and will be doing her 25th menu for the class this fall. Some of her students have attended every class, and they keep coming back to learn recipes and techniques and to hear Carol tell stories about the inn from which each recipe came.

Carol is the food stylist for Dierbergs Presents Everybody Cooks TV show. She works with commercial photographers with a wide variety of clients. When she’s not working or cooking, Carol enjoys crafts like scrapbooking and putting together photo albums and working on her Sudoku skills.

Carol’s Cooking Tip: “Don’t be afraid to entertain people who are good cooks and love food. They are more understanding and easy to entertain because they are less likely to be picky eaters.”
