Tomato Mozzarella Burger


4 large Homegrown Tomatoes
1 tablespoon Dierbergs Pure Olive Oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 pound thin sliced fresh mozzarella
8 large basil leaves


Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a sheet tray with non-stick foil. Cut tomatoes in half horizontally. Lay tomatoes on sheet tray cut side up. Drizzle each tomato with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and spices. Bake tomatoes for 15 minutes. Layer tomatoes- tomato bottom, 3-4 slices mozzarella, 2 basil leaves, and tomato top. Bake for additional 5 minutes to slightly melt cheese. Enjoy warm.
