Dierbergs and St. Luke’s Hospital have been partners in bringing health information to our customers and the public through cooking classes, store tours and hospital events since the opening of the Des Peres Dierbergs in 2012. A St. Luke’s registered dietitian and our nutritionist focus on all aspects of healthy eating, including heart health, diabetes and general well-being. Dierbergs joins them in their annual Day of Dance in February and participates in their diabetes update held in November as well as other community classes and events.

The Dierbergs School of Cooking began a partnership with MBMC more than twenty-five years ago by hosting healthy cooking classes led by our staff and a registered dietitian from Mo Bapt. The ongoing collaboration includes cooking classes, in-store tours focusing on a variety of topics for all segments of the population, and community events including the annual MBMC Heart Fair held in February and Pearls of Wisdom held each May. In addition, the hospital provides free health walk-in health screenings in a number of our stores.

Dierbergs is proud to partner with Girls in the Know, an organization that believes EVERY girl deserves a strong foundation and sense of self and heading into the challenging teen years. Their programming targets pre-teen girls, ages 9-13, along with those who love them and reaches girls at a brief, yet critical window of time, opening communication and educating on some of life's most important topics including self esteem, cyber safety, body image and puberty. Girls are better prepared to face mental, physical, emotional, and social challenges that are presented in today's culture, so they go on to realize their fullest potential.
