St. Louis, March 13, 2009 In response to the ongoing voluntary recalls being made by manufactors nationwhide in response to the FDA investigation of the Peanut Corporation of America, Dierbergs Markets has pulled from its shelves the following Kashi product:
GOLEAN Honey Almond Flax Cereal 15oz with TLC Chewy Honey Almond Flax Bar
UPC #18627-74150
This recall only affects boxes of the cereal that contain the free Kashi bar. Those without are not part of the recall.
The product has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella linked to peanut paste and peanut butter products produced by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), a supplier to many manufacturers. We are continuing to advise customers to remain aware of this situation and its related recalls. Do not consume any affected or recalled products. Instead please either discard or return to Dierbergs what is left for a full refund.
