St. Louis, March 2, 2010 - In response to a voluntary product recall by T. Marzetti Company, Dierbergs Markets has removed the following three varieties of veggie dip from its shelves, due to the possibility of Salmonella contamination.
Southwest Ranch Veggie Dip (15.5 oz.) UPC: 0-70200-52004 LOTS: APR2010F, APR2810F, MAY1610F, MAY3110F, JUN0610F, JUN1410F and JUN1910F
Spinach Veggie Dip (15 oz.) UPC: 0-70200-52059 LOTS: APR1910F, MAY0910F and JUN0710F
Fat Free Southwest Ranch Veggie Dip (13 oz.) UPC: 0-70200-52033 LOTS: MAY1610F, MAY3010F, JUN0810F, JUN1210F, JUN2510F
T. Marzetti was notified by one of its suppliers that an ingredient used in these varieties was a potential source of contamination. There have been no reports of illnesses associated with the identified products, and no other Marzetti-branded items are affected by this recall.
Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
