St. Louis, April 5, 2010 - In response to a voluntary product recall by the Glutino Food Group of Lawrence, Mass., Dierbergs Markets has removed the following product from its shelves because it may contain undeclared egg product as one of the ingredients:
Glutino Raisin Bread, 22.6 oz.
UPC: 6-78523 03015-8
Lot Code Date: Best Before 08OCT10
No illnesses have been reported in connection with this product. However, consumers who have an allergy or sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The product was placed in packaging intended for a different product that did not list egg as an ingredient, and a subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary issue in the company's packaging processes. No other products have been affected.
Customers may return the affected product to any Dierbergs for a full refund.
