Dierbergs Stores Accepting Cash Donations at Checkout for Joplin Tornado Relief
Dierbergs’ 23 metro-area stores are accepting checkout register donations to the American Red Cross and its efforts to aid tornado disaster victims in Joplin, Mo.
Dierbergs customers can add donations directly to their grocery bills, a safe, convenient and impactful way to contribute to the Joplin relief efforts. One-hundred percent of these donations will be given to the American Red Cross for aid including meals, water, shelter, clothing and mental-health counseling.
Contributions are tax deductible, and the donation amounts are printed on the customer’s receipt for easy record keeping.

Dierbergs Family Markets traces its roots to a country store founded in 1854 on Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur. Four generations have managed the company, which had only one location until 1967.
