St. Louis, October 13, 2011 Dierbergs Associate to Serve as Archdiocesan Celebrity Waiter
Doug Buder, Maintenance Associate at Dierbergs Market Place store, will serve as head table waiter at the Archdiocesan Department of Special Education Diamond Jubilee Celebrity Waiter Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Buder is a graduate of the Archdiocesan Department of Special Education and an active volunteer within the organization. All proceeds from the evening, including tips collected by the celebrity waiters, will benefit the Archdiocesan Department of Special Education and its mission to provide quality education, a living faith and success in life for children with disabilities. Celebrity waiters joining Buder include St. Louis community leaders, entrepreneurs, entertainers and philanthropists . “I’m excited for the evening,” Buder exclaimed. “I was honored to be selected as the head table waiter.”To help him in his personal fundraising goals for the evening, Dierbergs has given Buder a $500 “tip” donation. “I’ve known Doug since he started working at Dierbergs more than 10 years ago,” said John Muckerman, VP Marketing & Advertising. “I know he’ll do an excellent job at the dinner – just as he does every day at Dierbergs.” Tickets for the event are still available.
