Product Recall: Expanded Hardboiled Egg Recall

Product Recall: Expanded Hardboiled Egg Recall

St. Louis, December 24, 2019- Following on from removing both Dierbergs Branded Products with Hardboiled Eggs and Pete and Gerry's Hard-Cooked Eggs, Dierbergs Markets has removed more hard-boiled egg products from its shelves following an expansion of the Almark Foods recall because of the possibility of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

This includes all Eggland's Best Hard-Cooked Eggs, Everyday Essentials Hard-Cooked Eggs, Pete & Gerry's Hard-Cooked Eggs (including Organic) and Wild Harvest Organic Hard-Cooked Eggs with an expiration date of March 2, 2020 or earlier.

The recall was initiated due to an ongoing investigation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and CDC of an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes. Because Listeria can cause severe infections, customers who have purchased any of the recalled product are urged not to consume it and return it to Dierbergs for a full refund.

More information on the recall can be found on the FDA website.
